The find dialog allows to search for a name or keyword.

Enter the text you want to search. If you enter multiple words GenoPro will find objects matching all words. For instance, searching for "andre morin" will find individuals, marriages and pictures matching both "andre" and "morin". There is no difference from searching for "andre morin" or searching for "morin andre".
You may select where you want to search the text. Searching into comments searches all text within individuals, marriages and pictures. If the checkbox "Pictures" is unchecked, then the search result will return an empty picture list. Similarly, if the checkbox "Pictures" is checked but all others unchecked, the search result will also return an empty picture list.
Fuzzy Match will search for similar words. If you are searching for a name, but are not sure of the exact spelling, then the fuzzy match may be your solution. For instance, the word "Morin" and "Marin" are 72% similar according to the fuzzy match algorithm. If you want to broaden the search, decrease the fuzzy match value.
Match Case distinguishes text with uppercase, lowercase and accents characters. If Match Case is unchecked, GenoPro does not distinguishes capital letters and accents from the regular characters.
Match Whole Word Only searches for occurrences that are whole word and not part of a larger word.
You may want to search the entire document, or the selected objects. For instance, if you want to search for an ancestor, you can select an individual, click on the "Select Direct Ancestors" toolbar button and then click on the "Find" button.
What to do with the search results. The most common case is to populate a new list with all matching results, however you may append or subtract the find results to the previous search results.

The Search Results dialog shows all the objects matching the search criteria. In this example, the search criteria was "andre morin" as shown in the Find Dialog figure. The first entry is "Alain Morin" because Alain has two pictures containing the word "André". The next two entries are "André-Paul Morin"; both are the same individual but one is an alias. Françoise is listed in the search result because her comment includes the word "André". The last entry, "Marcel Morin" is listed in the search result because one of the picture contains the word "André".
The Search Results dialog produces three listings:
