The Report Generator allows you to generate HTML and Rich-Text Format (RTF) reports . Such reports can be stored on your a disk or published on the Web via your Internet connection.

Enter the name of the folder you want the report generator to write the output files. The destination folder can be a folder on your hard disk, a folder on a remote machine connected to your network, a floppy disk, a CD-ROM disk (if you have a CD-RW with drive mapping), or a directory on the Web accessible via FTP.
Use the Browse button to locate the folder you want to store the report. The Browse button can be used to locate a remote machine (computer) on your network. If you wish to create a folder, simply type the name of the folder and GenoPro will create the folder for you.
Use this button if you want to publish your genealogy on the Web using your Internet connection. For more information, click here.

Please notice you need Microsoft WordŽ to view and print RTF reports. You may use WordPad but you won't be able to view and print the pictures.
The data source may be a Gedcom file if you wish to convert a Gedcom file to HTML.
A Skin is a template enabling GenoPro to generate a report in one language. Skins may have different layouts and thus can output reports with different visual aspects. At the moment, GenoPro only offers the "Generic Report" skin. GenoPro version 1.91 will allow you to create your own skins and will have many more built-in skins.
Create a new skin. You can create skins in 139 different languages.
Edit the properties of the selected skin. You can customize both the HTML and RTF templates to your needs.
Launch your web browser to view a sample output of the selected skin.
This feature is under construction. GenoPro will offer a facility to easily download and share skins over the Internet.
You may wish to generate a draft report if you have many pictures and it takes a long time to generate the report. Generating a draft report is much faster since the pictures are not updated. Click here to see more report options.
The Report log displays feedback and errors when generating the report. Here are some example of errors:

The FTP Settings allows you to publish your genealogy directly on the Web. All you need is a connection to the Internet and an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) account. Please do not send email to GenoPro if you don't have an FTP account. GenoPro version 1.91 will include help buttons and links to create your own website, but at the moment, there is no support for FTP accounts.
The name of the FTP server. This can be a domain name or the IP address of the server. Some FTP servers allow the www prefix, so the FTP server can be a format like www.genopro.com. If you do not have a website, you can create one for free with Geocities.com or Tripod.com. Click here for more details to upload your family tree to Geocities.com or Tripod.com.
This is optional if you are using a server configured with a different port. By default, this value is 21 (Default FTP Port).
You may want to store the report in a directory other than the root directory. If you leave this field empty, the report will be stored in the root directory of your FTP account.
Enter the username to connect to the FTP server. Please ensure the username has permissions to write (upload) files, otherwise GenoPro will display an error when writing files.
You may enter the password here. If you do not enter the password, GenoPro will prompt you each time you generate a report.
This is the URL where the rest of the World can view your genealogy tree. By default, GenoPro creates the URL for you by concatenating the server name and FTP directory. You may type the URL yourself if it is different.
Launch your web browser to navigate to the FTP server. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will find yourself very familiar, since the browser will display the FTP file system like Windows Explorer displays files on your computer. You may use the Browse FTP button to delete a report on the Web, before generating a new one.
View the output report. GenoPro will automatically launch your web browser after generating a report on the Web.
This is a list of your most recent FTP connections. After generating a report, you may wish to delete the FTP connection to protect your password.
GenoPro can automatically upload your family tree to Geocities.com or Tripod.com. Here are the details:

By default, Tripod uses a banner at the top of each page. If you are generating a report using GenoPro, you may prefer having a Pop-up ads. Here are the steps to change your Tripod home page to display Pop-up ads:

The report option dialog is used to change the behavior of the Report Generator. These options are likely not to be changed but it may be handy to know what they do.
Use this option if your web server do not handle files containing uppercase letters.
If you wish to have a report without any pictures, simply uncheck this option. Please notice this option is different from Generate Draft Report. A draft report is a report with outdated pictures, while this option simply do not include any pictures to the report.
The following four options can be handy to save disk storage. For instance, if you generate a report for yourself on your computer, you may wish to uncheck the "Duplicate Full Path pictures", since you don't need two copies of each pictures on your machine.
Q: Can GenoPro publish a genealogy tree on the web?
A: Not yet. This is a feature for version 1.91. In the
meantime, you can manually upload your .gno file using FTP.
