GenoPro License Agreement

1. The "program" GenoPro(TM) is distributed in the hope it will be useful and beneficial to build genealogy trees. The program is entirely FREE and you are encouraged to copy and distribute to your family members, relatives, friends, guests, neighbors, or any other party interested in the program. You are welcome to do so as long as no charges are applied for the copy of the program.
2. You may indirectly collect money to cover shipping and handling costs, storage medium, download time, installation time, or any other service justifying additional fees. You are welcome to make the program available for download from your own web site, and/or "bundle" the program with any another software.
3. In no event, may any other party modify and/or reverse-engineer the program. GenoPro Inc. reserves exclusive rights to enhance and modify the program without notice to produce upgrades and/or create new releases.  To ensure a safe installation to the user, GenoPro prohibits distributors to modify the installation process obligating the user to install third-party software along with GenoPro.  The installation file InstallGenoPro.exe shall not be embedded into any other installation program and shall be distributed without any modifications.  Any custom setup of GenoPro shall receive the written approval of GenoPro Inc.
4. Since GenoPro is licensed free of charge, the program is granted "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose. GenoPro Inc. may not be liable to you for damages, loss of profits, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the program.

Privacy Policy

1. GenoPro will not obtain any personal information that could attain or identify you as an individual. If you accept to be on the GenoPro mailing list, GenoPro will send you mail regarding upgrades and announcements of products and services related to genealogy.
2. GenoPro is strong against "spamming" and unsolicited mail. GenoPro will not give or rent your email address to a sponsor or anyone else.  GenoPro Inc. is victim of unsolicited mail every day and we feel strong against "spam" mail. Spam is a thief of service and need to be treated as robbery of people's time and hardware resources. GenoPro will send its newsletter about four (4) times a year and will solely announce products and services approved by GenoPro.  GenoPro has a quality newsletter and may skip several months without sending mail if there is nothing pertinent to announce.
3. GenoPro does not collect data from your hard disk or spy on your computer configuration.   The only information GenoPro collects from your machine is: Operating System (which version of Windows you are using), how much memory (this gives an idea of the processor speed and therefore the suitability of new genealogy features), and video display (number of horizontal and vertical pixels and number of colors for each pixel to determine the size of dialogs and toolbars).
4. By sending your registration to GenoPro, you hereby authorize GenoPro to use the information in the registration form to compile aggregate statistics for the purpose of improving the product.   The following aggregate statistics may also be compiled and displayed on GenoPro web site: Gender, Age Distribution, Country of Birth, Country of Residence, Language, Education, Operating System, Physical Memory and Video Display. The compiled statistics can be viewed at http://www.genopro.com/statistics/.
5. It is important to understand the necessity of advertising and sponsorship to support GenoPro. Without advertising and sponsorship, GenoPro would not be a free product.
