Q: Can I buy a CD
version of GenoPro Gold?
A: Not at the moment. The number of requests for a CD of GenoPro
Gold is too low to make this service worthwhile. If you want to have a CD, you
can download GenoPro Gold
and burn your own CD. Before burning your CD, please make sure you
download the latest version of GenoPro. GenoPro makes updates about every
other month.
Q: Can I buy GenoPro Gold
without a credit card?
A: Yes. GenoPro has a PayPal
account to accepts other payments. If you do not wish to use paypal,
please contact GenoPro to send a cheque or a money order. If you send a cheque, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, since it takes 4 weeks to clear
an international cheque. Please include your email address for faster
delivery. We have received many purchases with incomplete return addresses
and missing email addresses.
Q: Is purchasing GenoPro
Gold secure?
A: Yes. Many people are concerned about the security of their
personal and credit card information on the Internet. Purchasing from an unknown

Q: How long can I use GenoPro Gold?
A: You can use GenoPro Gold for as long as you wish. There is no
limit on the time you can use your current version of GenoPro Gold.
Q: I have a desktop and a notebook computer. Do I have to
purchase two licenses of GenoPro Gold?
A: No. If you own multiple machines, you can use the same GoldenKey
on all of them. This policy applies to all organizations, including commercial,
non-profit, schools, universities, research and medical facilities.
GenoPro is aware about the possibility of large organizations using a single
GoldenKey for hundred of machines. This is permitted, but you only get the technical
support for five (5) incidents.
Q: Can
I share my GoldenKey with a friend or a relative?
A: No. It is prohibited to do so, unless you are the legitimate
owner of your friend's or relative's computer. GenoPro let you use your
GoldenKey on all the machines you legally own.
Q: What if I need technical support for more than five (5) incidents?
A: You need to purchase another GoldenKey (license of GenoPro).
Each license of GenoPro gives you technical support up to five incidents.
Unused incidents can be carried to the next release up to a period of five
years.
Q: What is an "incident"?
A: GenoPro defines an "incident" as a request for technical
support. Such requests includes all questions and suggestions.
Q: Where is my Golden Mailbox?
A: Your Golden Mailbox is the button 'Write to GenoPro using my GoldenKey'
located in the About box. Your Golden Mailbox
gives you fast, comprehensive technical support for your questions and
suggestions. GenoPro Gold users' suggestions take priority.
Q: I lost my GoldenKey. Can I have a new one?
A: You can login to the GenoPro Control Panel and retrieve your

Q: Can I get a refund
for GenoPro Gold?
A: No. You can evaluate GenoPro Gold by downloading and using the popular
freeware GenoPro. If you decided to purchase GenoPro Gold, it implies you know
what you want. GenoPro Inc. distributes a freeware version because it does
not want to have any refunds to handle. Refunds can cost up to $30 and are
a big waste of time. If you are not sure about purchasing GenoPro Gold,
please use the freeware GenoPro.
Q: What benefits do these changes provide for customers?
A: If you write to GenoPro, you are guaranteed to get a comprehensive
answer from GenoPro. Typically the reply is within one business day.
Some "incidents" are more complex and require a bit of research, but
you always get a reply within five business days. If you have a suggestion
to make, GenoPro will give you tips to get around the problem and an estimate
when the feature is likely to be included in the product. So far, more than 50%
of the requests have been fulfilled in less than one hour from the time
the email was sent to a GoldenMailbox.
Q: Why is GenoPro Inc. making these changes?
A: Overall, these changes are based on how GenoPro Inc. can better invest its support resources into the areas that provide the most benefit to customers.
GenoPro Inc. has given support to thousand of users, many of which never
consulted the online help and/or visited the Discussion
Board. GenoPro can no longer give free support to questions already
answered in the Discussion Board and/or topics explained in the online
help. On the other hand, if you have purchased GenoPro Gold, you will get
a reply, regardless if your question was already answered in the Discussion
Board, online help or tutorials.
