but waiting for next version" So far GenoPro has been very intuitive. The interface and help allow you to plunge right into the creation of the family tree. However, I'm eagerly awaiting the next version which promises to have a "publish as HTML" feature. The only downside is that the free download will result in (unobtrusive) advertising in your browser. What Download.com doesn't mention is that the download will put embed ads into your browser. If you don't want advertising in your browser, you can pay $10 for GenoPro Gold. |

| "Not
bad for a free program" Once you get the hang of it, this program has just about everything you'll need to create a complex family tree. There are only a few bells and whistles to the program and viewable information on the tree itself is limited. Behind the scenes, the program can house additional information as well as pictures for each individual and couple. There is an annoying little advertising banner that runs while you have the application open, but what do you expect from a free program, right? The banner goes away when you close the program. |

to use, good interface" I found that the program was generally intuitive, and easy to use. One thing that is lacking however is the use of the right click menus a in some areas. Also, the advertising thing that they add to your browser is really aggravating. I wouldn't mind if it were added to the program only, but it attaches to your browser and anything you browse to you get the advertisements. |

excellent program" I downloaded and tried five different genealogy programs and this is by far the simplest and most elegant to use. Can display a large tree and one click gives you background information. Far superior to other programs with large goofy icons! Advertising is very unobtrusive. |

As expected, not all users are happy about GenoPro. All negative
reviews about GenoPro are from reviewers disliking advertising. GenoPro
understands you may not like the advertising, however this is the only option to
distribute GenoPro free. If you wish to have a version of GenoPro without
advertising, you can buy GenoPro Gold.
