The Preferences Dialog, located at the end of the Edit menu, is to store global settings.

Enter the name of the font you want all your genealogy trees to be displayed and printed. By default, GenoPro uses the Arial font, but this font may not be adequate for languages with special characters. We have users who built their genealogy tree with Chinese and Arabic characters, just by changing the font
Future release of GenoPro will store the font name with each genealogy tree, so you will be able to open simultaneously several genograms with different fonts.
By default, GenoPro exports Gedcom files in the ANSEL format. The ANSEL format is the preferred method for exporting Gedcom files, since it supports accents and special characters.
If you wish, you can export in the ANSI (ASCII) format. This format may be the only format supported by some old genealogy software or by commercial databases not supporting the ANSEL encoding.
Specify a date from which the age of each individual is calculated. By default, GenoPro uses the system's clock to compute the age of each individual, however some users may want to print a genealogy tree representing a period in history (or in the future).
GenoPro monitors the amount of free memory in your system. If the free memory is below a certain threshold, GenoPro flushes internal buffers to free more memory. This option is quite useless to the normal user, but it is very useful to GenoPro for tracking memory problems.
